As someone who was quite nervous about driving, Matt immediately put me at ease and his lessons were always enjoyable. His teaching style is person-centred so lessons are catered to your goals as well as teaching you how to become a safe and considerate driver. Matt goes above and beyond for his students. What an absolutely unbelievable instructor Matt has been! Matt taught me in such a simple and effective way that not only was I able to pass my driving test first time, I was able to grow into the safest driver I could’ve become. Im very grateful for all the time and the lengths he went too to help me progress not just as a driver, but also as a person. For anyone who is worried or anxious about getting on the road (like I was), I cannot recommend learning with MCB Driver Training enough.

I couldn’t recommend anyone more than Matt as a driving instructor. I initially wanted to get driving over and done with as fast as I could but Matt helped me to realise patience is key and it is a marathon not a sprint, and taught me mistakes were okay, and just a part of the learning processs. This made me feel comfortable and confident on the roads and allowed me to adjust at my own speed. He was easy and friendly to talk to, and this took the tension and ease of the pressure of driving. He reassured me when I felt uneasy, ensuring I never felt as if I was not good enough to drive and challenging my self- doubts. On the day of my exam he was by my side, and kept me calm and I believe all these attributes is what has made me the safe, comfortable driver I am today. Thank you Matt! matt was not only my driving instructor but he also became a very good friend. as someone with bad anxiety, my upcoming test almost sent me on the verge of a breakdown until matt came to my rescue with support, guidance and multiple pep talks that assured me i was completely capable of passing my test. i am forever indebted to matt for taking me from a nervous driver who was scared to go above 30mph to the now confident and safe driver i am. this is so much more than just a job to matt, and as he says he ‘lives and breathes it’ which is so true. thank you so much matt, for teaching me skills i’ll use for a lifetime and being the best mentor🥰

I tried 2 other instructors before finding Matt, I wish I'd found him first. Lessons are so calm and he makes learning to drive simple without lots of stress. If you're looking to learn to drive an automatic I'd recommend you give Matt at MCB Driver Training a call.
